This playful series is designed to bring awareness and connection between the curious minds of your children and the refreshing lens with which John Muir viewed the natural landscape. Muir's writings contain a childlike joy and yearning for adventure that children will recognize and love. The walks will all begin with a reading of a John Muir quote or short story and an open discussion on how these words can inspire the day's nature exploration. The readings selected for the walks all play with the idea of the human experience within nature: calm observation, curious inquiry, playful romping, reverent imitation, and infinite other ways we will discover to BE outside. All children will receive a nature journal to use each week.

Every Wednesday for 11 weeks.
