Senior Explorers

Do you have a curious explorer between the ages of 10 and 14 that would enjoy attending Cattail Nature Collective and being a leader in our summer nature play crew? Ask us about our Senior Explorer positions available each week of camp! These positions foster leadership, communication, and community building skills, all while enjoying summer days spent outside playing.

Summer is a sacred time for children, when the routine of school fades away to simple days with few plans, outdoor explorations with neighborhood friends, and the joy of having nothing but the amount of sunlight left in the sky to limit one's adventures.  Unfortunately, children's summers are often just as structured as their school year and the memory of a simple, free summer filled with PLAY is just that… a fading memory.  Naturally Curious Nature Walks has a perfect solution for this summer quandary!  Allow your child to enjoy the wonder and simplicity of a summer day spent entirely outdoors in Prospect Park with the Cattail Nature Collective!

We are taking to the wilderness of Prospect Park this summer to build forts, dig in the mud, and celebrate our natural landscape!  No themes.  No classes.  No pre-assigned projects. PLAY and EXPLORATION will guide our days!
